There is a large amount of people being bullies, or bullying others everyday. In the United States about thirty percent of people deal with bullying throughout the year. So, about 5.7 million people are either bullies, get bullied or are both of these in the United States. Statistics say that from grades 6-10, eleven percent of the people are being bullied, and six percent said that they were bullied and as a result, they bully others. Grades 6-10 are the most ages for people to be bullied because once you get older people will stop being bullies or be bullied. Boys are usually the big bullies in school rather then girls. When boys are being bullied it is usually a more violent situation. When girls are being bullied it is more likely to be a rumor about them or tell other girls to stop talking to that certain person. If there is a girl bully, they will often target on other girls while boys target both boys and girls.
Teens that are being bullied soon begin to feel horrible about thereself for whatever the situation may be. Teens being bullied will also get very depressed and insecure about themselves. They will usually be very afraid of what others think and they will be afraid of the bully each day going to school. Bullying will affect people in school. This may affect them in school because they will often be very scared and start to loose concentration. If they are being bullied so bad it will sometimes lead them into skipping school to get away from the problem. In some long term consequences of bullying, people will commit suicide which is definitely the most horrible effect of bullying. Some teens will get into bad things such as shoplifting, drugs or alcohol use. They may get into some of these stages because they do not want to deal with all the troubles they are getting anymore so they decide to do something new.

Very good Brienna, How do we stop it?
Wow Brie you have a lot of info. Good job : ] I actualy DID learn things from your blog. lol
Nice Brie! I think that since we have this "wonderful" program called HALT at our school, hopefully it will help people in who are being bullied at school, not become victiums anymore, which is no one. I do agree though with boys being more of the big bullies, more so than the girls because they are more beastly and more physically abusive, more so than girls. If anyone is being bullied, it is best to seek help with your parents or guidence counselor before it gets any worse, especially like Colombine, we would NOT want that to happen just because people were bullying a certain student, who then decide to kill himself and others.
I think bullies should think how they would feel if they were the ones being bullied/picked on. Hopefully after the HALT program people will stop being bullies.
Its amazing with the stats you provided the readers with that many innocent well maybe not innocent but lives are being bullied, it also came apart of our goverment to provide us with a program to end bulling and we are only on the first stage of it. The HALT Program is only digging our outter skins. But your blog post provided us with many factual information.
I really like how everyone mentioned HALT. That means it is working. I remember at the beginning of the year everyone thought it was the end of the world that we were losing a tutorial, but it turns out that it is not that bad.
Great info Brie, Bullying is a huge problem and everyone has to try and help the cause.
